Sorry for my major absence these past couple of weeks. Things have been rather chaotic to say the least. But, alas such is life. I wish I could have blogged about what has been happening during my absence but to blog about it now would make it seem insignificant. So moving forward shall be my new mantra.
Recently I attended The Free Creative Fashion at NMMU hosted by and featuring the designs of the first and second years fashion students and the third and fourth year textile students all from NMMU (We got talent) on the 13th September 2013. The theme of the show was Ancient Aliens. My God, the stuff was amazing. My heart died at the outfits I will never have. However, I am lucky enough to personally know one of the designers who took part in the event. A good friend of mine who I have known since high school, Raighaanah Abrahams. I will be doing a feature post on her in the near future about her designs for the show and developments in her career as a up and coming designer so look out for that.
So to get back to my actual post, this week's post is about my obsession with digital art. There's just something magical about this new genre of art that just takes my breath away. The way you can make anything possible just using a bit of inspiration and some help from technology. I thought I would share some the images I found online yesterday that I found awe-inspiring.
I just love the abstract-ness of this image.
I absolutely love how the human form inspires art.
For my love of Paris. (And I happen to be studying French.)
Time is in the eye of the beholder.
I'm inspired by apocalyptic scenes involving the darker side of humanity.
Libra by Kagaya. My zodiac goddess is by far the best.
So that is it for this week.
'Til next time ;)
