Beginning Of An Era

So as promised today is the day I post my first feature blog post!! Who knew a week could feel so long when it isn't Friday AND ITS FRIDAY today :) So lets get started...

The week in fashion (as worn by me):

Monday (29 July 2013) One of my personal favourite looks: a printed tee with a denim shirt, black skinny jeans and high-top sneakers. Not only is it comfortable it looks pretty darn good. Casual yet stylish and a great way to start the week just coming from the weekend.

 

Tuesday (30 July 2013) With most of my lectures being on a Tuesday I thought why not go a bit formal with a blue long-sleeve woven top, grey corduroy pants, brown militant boots toped with a neck scarf to round of the look. Formal yet casual for another day at campus.

 

Wednesday (31 July 2013) This is my usual look to campus. A casual tee, jeans and high-tops (I love my high-tops and in my opinion I hope they never go out of trend) with a hoodie for those winter days next to the beach). Its not a difficult look to pull off, which is why I love it.

 

Thursday (01 August 2013) One word...SIMPLICITY! A plain black tee with a pair of grey skinny jean and black militant boots, is a simply casual look and perfect for when you don't feel like dressing to the nine's or don't have time. Effortless doesn't have to look like shit.

Friday (02 August 2013) "Dis Vrydag in die Baai" (Its Friday in PE) Seeing as the weather has been rather awesome this week I decide to end my week wearing my favourites: a printed tee and high-tops with a shorts for a rocking Friday. I cant wait for summer to get here for fun in the sun *hint hint* ;)

And that ends my week in fashion.

As I mentioned I love my music and my playlist is constantly changing...from classical music to rock n roll and dubstep, house to pop and even French. So playlist has a song in nearly every genre so I compiled my top 10 favourite tracks of the week. Give them a listen:

1.      Robin Thicke ft. T.I & Pharrell : Blurred Lines ( I mean who doesn't find this song awesome)

2.      Icona Pop ft. Charli XCX : I Love It ( This is just one of those songs that says "Fuckit lets party)

3.      Naughty Boy ft. Sam Smith : La La La ( I just find the track awesome. The lyrics are awe-inspiring)

4.      Daft Punk ft. Pharrell Williams : Get Lucky (Daft Punk...need I say more?)

5.      Selena Gomez : Come & Get It (Just for you Christine)

6.      Sebastian Ingrosso ft. T Trash & J Martin : Reload ( This is just a sick track and Sebastian Ingrosso is/was part of Swedish House Mafia!! Again...need I say more?)

7.      Lawson ft. B.O.B : Brokenhearted ( I just dig this song for some reason)

8.      Ke$ha : Crazy Kids ("Hello. Wherever you are. Are you dancing on the dance floor or drinking by the bar?")

9.      Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding : I Need Your Love (This is an awesome track with Ellie Goulding singing vocals and Calvin Harris providing the rest. Worth downloading)

10.  Macklemore and Ryan Lewis : Thrift Shop (Just for when you wanna feel a bit gangsta...rofl)
